I wouldn't give more than one a month.

I agree with Lillias, but also just so you know this forum is closing down in a few days and if you'd like to join us or ask more questions, I created a new forum called http://hamsterclubhouse.com/forum/

Whimzees aren't really part of a good diet for a hamster. They are most starch and cellulose. I would still just stick to one and I wouldn't give anything bigger than a small.

As long as your hamster has a good food mix, most of the time it’s alright if she doesn’t chew much outside of food.

He does have a good mix, Sunburst with freeze-dried chicken. But i was concerned about the possibility of his tooth growing as he will get older. He does not chew anything else apart from a Whimzee per month. No interest in apple wood branches (and plastics... which i'm really happy of). I tried to give him an entire Walnut but it's a dwarft hamster... so no grip at all on this big thing, the tooth are just slidding lol I will try the Victoria Rachel trick to soak some wood pieces in a little bit of berries juice to make them more interesting but if it does'nt work, should I have to worry ? I guess you are saying that it should be okay  with a good seed mix because there are hard pieces to chew ?

Though i will have to take care of the claws, will place some rocks at strategic places. He also has a decent sized sandbath and a clay pot as a hideout that he has no interest in lol. Any other tricks for the claws?
